The Center of American Non-Commercial Cinema & Arts

The Center of American Non-Commercial Cinema & Arts presents the festival of students and non-commercial films (NOFI).  Saturday December 28 and Sunday December 29, 2013 beginning at 9 PM at Five Star Cinema located at 128 North Maryland Ave Glendale, CA  91206.

Join head juror and actor Ken Davitian, USC's Allison Melanson and Italian producer Franco Brescia to experience a collection of some of the best short films presented by talented filmmakers from across the world.  This year we have received 580 films from across 60 countries.  Fifteen of those films have been chosen for a limited audience of 100 people to enjoy.  Admission is $10 for students and $15 for the general public. New Movie Theater

Going beyond usual theater conventions in both function and design, the cinema includes the affordable luxury of Frame 128 Restaurant and its two lounges, The Blue Lounge and The Red Lounge located upstairs.

The cinema houses 10 screens with auditorium sizes ranging from 30 to 104 seats. The brand new Dolby-digital sound and projection systems create an excellent sound and picture quality for maximum enjoyment.  Our auditoriums are also available for private screenings and presentations.

Patrons enjoy their film in luxurious comfort from a plush leather recliner in their personally chosen seats. Guests will be able to enjoy in-theater dining and beverage services anytime during the film, delivered by a personal concierge accessed through a button located to the side of each seat.  Choices include gourmet concessions, alcoholic beverages and all menu options offered at our Frame 128 Restaurant.
Frame 128 Restaurant presents an enticing menu created by Chef Kareem Shaw that offers a wide variety of flavors to satisfy all tastes.

   The two-level state of the art technology cinema is one of the few in the Los Angeles area to serve alcohol. The Orange Lounge boasts an outdoor patio perfect for an intimate moment or a few laughs with friends. The full bar includes signature cocktails along with a boutique line of quality spirits and fine liquor.

Avid movie-goers may also sign up for membership online or at the box office to receive points with every purchase that may be redeemed for future purchases of tickets and concessions.
